  • CHP Consultants offers products and services related to radiation safety, health physics, nuclear safety, radiation dosimetry, dose reconstruction, nuclear decommissioning, nuclear medicine, radiology shielding design, and technical editing.
  • NukeWorker - http://www.nukeworker.com
  • Nukeworker is a web site operated by Michael Rennhack providing open positions in health physics, radiation safety, and other related occupations. This site also offers study materials and a collection of available radiation freeware.
  • Health Physics Society - http://www.hps.org
  • The Health Physics Society Web site, where you can find information and answers to your questions about radiation and radiation safety/protection. For many years, ionizing radiation has been beneficial to human beings for medical diagnosis and therapy, scientific research, and generating electrical power. However, when used in unsafe ways, ionizing radiation can harm people. Care must be taken to properly use radiation and to minimize unnecessary radiation exposures. The health physicist's job is to manage the beneficial use of ionizing radiation while protecting workers and the public from potential hazards. The Health Physics Society is dedicated to making sure that health physicists have the information and capabilities to do this.
  • American Board of Health Physics - http://www.hps1.org/aahp/boardweb/abhphome.html
  • The ABHP grants professional certification in the field of Health Physics. This site contains information for both prospective and currrent Certified Health Physicists (CHPs) regarding the certification process and maintenance of certification. A History of the Board and the current requirements for certification are contained in the prospectus. Becoming a CHP also qualifies an individual for membership in the American Academy of Health Physics .
  • American Academy of Health Physics (AAHP) - http://www.hps1.org/aahp
  • The AAHP advances the profession of Health Physics and encourages the highest standards of ethics and integrity in its members. The AAHP offers membership to all individuals who have been granted certification in Comprehensive Health Physics by the American Board of Health Physics (ABHP). Associate membership in the AAHP is offered to those individuals who sit for and successfully pass one of the two parts of the certification examination.
  • National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists - http://www.nrrpt.org
  • The NRRPT is an orgaization which provides for the evaluation and registration of Radiation Protection Technologists. A Radiation Protection Technologist is a person engaged in providing radiation protection to the radiation worker, the general public, and the environment from the effects of ionizing radiation. The Radiation Protection Technologist has a basic understanding of the natural laws of ionizing radiation, the mechanism of radiation damage, methods of detection, and hazards assessment. The Radiation Protection Technologists' tasks are accomplished by providing supervisory, administrative, and/or physical control, utilizing sound health physics principles in compliance with local and statutory requirements and accepted industry practices. The Radiation Protection Technologist mitigates hazards associated with radioactive material and ionizing radiation producing devices, always adhering to the "as low as reasonably achievable" philosophy.
